1) What is environmental management?
Answer: Environmental management is the proper management of causative factors of environmental pollution to bring improvement.


2) What is air pollution?
Answer: The condition of degrading natural quality of air due to mixing of different pollutants in atmosphere is called air pollution.


3) Mention any two effects of air pollution.
Answer: Any two effects of air pollution.
    (i) Air pollution reduces visibility which invites air and road accidents.
    (ii)Air pollution reduces solar radiation on the earth and increases greenhouse effect.


4) What is soil pollution?
Answer: The degradation in original quality of soil due to natural and artificial causes is called soil pollution.


5) Mention any two effects of water pollution.
Answer: Any two effects of water pollution are as follows:
        (i) Polluted water causes water borne diseases like hepatitis A and hepatitis E, cholera, diarrhoea, dysentery, typhoid, etc.
        (ii) Polluted water spreads bad smell and causes air pollution.


6) Name two sources of air pollution.
Answer: The two sources of air pollution are:
        (i) Natural sources and
        (ii) Artificial sources


7) What are natural sources of air pollution? Write with examples.
Answer: The sources that are produced from nature directly are called natural sources. Examples: volcanic eruption, wild fire, soil erosion, water vapor released by plants, etc.


8) What is environmental pollution?
Answer: The degradation of one or more components of natural environment due to natural and artificial causes is called environmental pollution.


9) What percentage of earth's surface is covered with water?
Answer: About 71% of the earth's surface is covered with water.


10) What is water pollution?
Answer: Water pollution refers to change in actual and original quality of water due to contamination in it.

Syllabus of PCL Nursing by CTEVT Nepal Government has adopted a national policy for the attainment of health "Health for all beyond the Year 2000 A.D." through the use of primary health care approach. As a result CTEVT got the mandate to produce middle level trained workforce through CTEVT as well as CTEVT affiliated institutions. During the process of curriculum development the Nepal Government has endorsed the concept of gerontology care, because the PCL nursing graduated are prominent service providers; the Department of Health has suggested incorporating this new emerging health issue in the curriculum.
