Answer: The major function of drone bee is to fertilize the female.


16) In how many stages does the life cycle of honey bee complete? What are they?
Answer: The life cycle of honey bee completes in four distinct stages. They are:
        (i) Egg     (ii) Larva     (iii) Pupa and     (iv) Adult


17) Write down any two features of worker bee.
Answer: Any two features of worker bee are:
        (i) It is the smallest bee in the hive.
        (ii) It is a sterile female.
