Answer: Ammonia gas is collected in laboratory by downward displacement of air.


3) Write any two necessary condition for the industrial production of ammonia.
Answer: Any two necessary conditions for the industrial production of ammonia are:
    (i) High temperature (about 5000⁰C)
    (ii) High pressure (200-900 atm.)


4) Write a balanced chemical equation of laboratory preparation of ammonia gas.
Answer: Balanced chemical equation of laboratory preparation of ammonia gas:
    2NH₄Cl + Ca(OH) ₂ → CaCl₂ + 2H₂O + 2NH₃ ↑


5) Which gas is made by heating the mixture of ammonium chloride and calcium hydroxide?
Answer:  Ammonia gas is made by heating the mixture of ammonium chloride and calcium hydroxide.


6) Name the scientist who prepared ammonia gas for the first time. Write down the molecular formula and molecular weight of ammonia.
Answer: La Voiser prepared ammonia gas for the first time. Its molecular formula is NH₃ and molecular weight is 17.


7) What is promoter? Give one example.
Answer:  The chemical substance which is used to activate a positive catalyst is called promoter. Example: Molybdenum (Mo).


8) What is Haber's process?
Answer:  Haber's process is the process in which ammonia gas is prepared by the direct combination of nitrogen and hydrogen gas in ratio of 1:3 under high pressure of 200-900 atm. and at the temperature of 5000⁰C in the presence of iron powder (Fe) as a catalyst and Molybdenum (Mo) as a promoter.

Syllabus of PCL Nursing by CTEVT Nepal Government has adopted a national policy for the attainment of health "Health for all beyond the Year 2000 A.D." through the use of primary health care approach. As a result CTEVT got the mandate to produce middle level trained workforce through CTEVT as well as CTEVT affiliated institutions. During the process of curriculum development the Nepal Government has endorsed the concept of gerontology care, because the PCL nursing graduated are prominent service providers; the Department of Health has suggested incorporating this new emerging health issue in the curriculum.
